Guess what I did instead of studying for my midterm?
The Picasso Museum! (I just took the exam and I don't think I really needed to study for it :) 🤞🏼

The museum is the largest collection of his work with over 4,200 of his pieces. He donated some of them to the museum in 1970.
I really enjoyed the museum and reading about the different points in his life. He was influenced by the people he befriended and places he lived which translated into his art. So many of his pieces look stylistically different to me which was interesting. He kind of went 'backwards' in evolution because when he was younger he painted more like an adult and when he was older more like a child.
These are some of my favorites:

I really liked his Blue Period paintings which he did between 1901-1904. This one is of Barcelona rooftops.

He painted some of the places I visited in Madrid which was cool, too. El Retiro Park and the Balcón del Prado:

These are some of the ceramics he made, and I didn't even know he used ceramics.
After the museum, my friend and I got dinner and walked around by the Barceloneta beach. The sunset was really pretty as a backdrop for all the boats in the port.

I have 12 days left in Barcelona. It's been a fun trip so far but I do miss home and will be ready to fly back when it's time.
