Park Güell

I've wanted to go to Park Güell so bad this whole time and I was scared that I wasn't going to be able to buy tickets. They had sold out on their website but I found a third party site that had some available, even if they were a little bit more expensive.
A lot of fun designs by Gaudí are in the park. Think colorful tiles, mosaics, plants, sculptures, and awesome rock arches. It's a huge park with a path that takes you around to the different sites. There are two houses that look similar to gingerbread houses. One is a gift shop and the other has an all blue interior with old maps, drawings, and some history of Barcelona inside.
It wasn't a super hot day - perfect - but thunder and lightning began just as we were about to leave! And not a minute after I got onto my bus to go home it started raining. How lucky I was to not have to wait at the bus stop in the rain. It wasn't even a normal city bus, it was much smaller and specifically for this neighborhood so there was no covering at the stop, just a pole with the bus number on it.
Anyways, I'm glad I got to see Park Güell before I leave (which is soon) because it was one of the top things on my list. It's kind of hard to believe my trip is almost over. I also still can't wrap my head around the fact that I've lived in Spain for a month! Everything will probably sink in once I'm back home.

It definitely looks like it was worth the extra money to be able to see the park. It is beautiful. So glad you went and had a great time.
